One of the things I love about being in the beauty industry is that I come across so many products. Like, SO many. Most of them claim to be the best at whatever (they’re not) but every now and then I spot a brand that instantly becomes a favorite. That for me is Dove.
Most of you were probably introduced to Dove soap at a young age. Maybe your mom or grandma swore by it and you always had a bar laying around your home. That wasn’t my case. In my home, we swore by Tone Cocoa Butter Bath Bars so much that when my mom introduced us to Suave body wash my sisters and I were shocked to discover another soap existed. My mom’s thought process was simple, and actually something most moms adopt: Why spend so much money on soap for children? And for us, tons of money meant anything over a $1 a bar.
And for us, tons of money meant anything over a $1 per bar.
So, I ultimately became a late bloomer in the Dove department. I had heard about it and had many friends who loved it, but they really didn’t exist in my world until I became an adult. And let me tell you when I discovered it there was no turning back. TBH, there’s nothing wrong with Tone and Suave, but Dove just got it right. Every time.
So imagine my delight when they introduced a line for babies this month? To be able to introduce SJ to one of my favorites means a lot to me. From baby body wash to baby lotion, they have an entire line that helps keep his skin, hair, and scalp healthy. And, now that I can find something for my entire family in one line is extra special.
There are five pieces in the collection: A head to toe wash, baby bar, lotion, wipes, and shampoo. So far, my favorite for SJ is the wipes (yeah, that’s why you don’t see them in the pic. I used them all!) and the tear-free and hypoallergenic baby wash that seems to really replenish the oils his skin looses during bath time.
And if your little one has sensitive skin, there’s a fragrance-free version that’s designed to hydrate dry skin.
The collection ranges from $2.49 to $7.99 and can be found in your local drugstores—just like your other Dove must-haves. In case you’re wondering, I’m a Powder Soft Dry Spray antiperspirant deodorant fan. So while most skincare brands tout themselves as the best, you can rest assured knowing that Dove is just as legit for your little one as it is for you.
I received these products on behalf of Baby Dove, but the review represents my honest opinion.
