Hunting for the perfect sweater is not an easy feat. But, shopping for a toddler sweater is even worse. You want it to be durable to withstand daily wear and tear, warm enough to weather the cold, and obviously stylish enough so your kid looks cute all winter.
When I was on the search for the perfect sweater a few months ago, nothing seemed to work. Sure there were brands that offered decent looks, but it just didn’t feel right. I wanted a sweater that showed off his personality AND was actually useful.
Enter my godsend, Monica + Andy. If you don’t know, Monica + Andy, started years ago when a mom wanted better clothing options for her baby girl. The company is all about offering conscious clothing in the softest and most trustworthy fabrics in classic and whimsical prints—a total dream. When I visited the site, I was immediately drawn to the Hemingway sweater. It’s a cable-knit sweater with long sleeves and ribbed cuffs. It also offers super sleek wood button detailing and pockets that honestly look like a grandpa sweater but in the cutest way possible.
I was also really into the chunky Graduate cardigan that has nice wood button detailing that reminds me of a cool, younger uncle. Seriously, I would wear this sweater all winter long if I could. And, I secretly wish I could.
Now, to be completely honest, the sweaters aren’t cheap. They’ll set you back $58, and I’m pretty sure you’re kid won’t squeeze into them next season, but I swear by them and am so happy I found the perfect winter sweater for SJ, and one that I feel comfortable with him wearing.
